I am finally done with part one of Life of Pi. I realized that part one, had to do with the first chapter of Pi's life, which is is time in India. For the rest of part one, we see how all three religions that Pi is involved in backfires. When each mentor of his, finds out about his actions, they each try to pursued him to continue on "the right" path. But through this all Pi continues to follow all three religions because he believes in the fundamentals that each stand for.
After that we see that Pi's family is to sell their zoo in Pondicherry and move to Canada. Pi and his family took this as a shock. In their minds Canada is another world, somewhere so far they would have to go across to globe to reach their new home. His new adventure awaits him on the Tsimtsum.
By reading book one I infer that book two will probably be about, a misfortune that happens upon the grand vessel.
This books keeps getting better and better.
