My book is no longer a stranger

Ok guys, I just finished reading up to page 50. To be honest nothing has quit happened, but I'm not bored of this book yet, for some reason it intrigues me. It is for that same reason that i like this book. Its been a while since I opened a book, and actually enjoyed the words that I read. No wonder it won, the Man Booker Prize and is now a major motion picture. From what i have recently read, the narrator is going into more detail about his past. I learned that the main characters name wasn't originally Pi, it was Piscine. He changed it because his classmates used to tease him too much. I also learned that Pi, is quit a religious boy. For me this foreshadows what may happen in the future, considering that it is known that he will be stranded in the ocean. Perhaps he will look to religion to help him through the hardship. Another aspect of the book that i can foreshadow about, is when Pi's father brings him to tigers cage, and shows him the danger that the zoo holds and although it may be fun, it is quit dangerous. Other than that Pi, is just speaking of his past.

  1. I get you so much about not opening a book in forever. It's good we got to choose these books. Tell me if this book has anything to do with the movie.
