The Start of Something New; Part Two

So i have just finished reading a good portion of what consist of Part Two in Life of Pi. I was right. It turns out that part two is going to be about Pi being shipwrecked in the middle of the Pacific, with no one but a tiger and a hyena. 
In the beginning of part two, Pi and his family go aboard the Tsimtsum, a large cargo ship that is to take them to Canada. Soon after they depart from India, they are hit by a huge storm that destroys the vessel. Everyone seems to die by this tragedy, if it wasn't for Pi's sense of curiosity he would have been another dead body laying waist in the Pacific. 
Pi seems to escape this storm by being thrown upon a life boat, by workers on the ship. At first he feels blessed that he has found a floating boat, but soon realizes that this is a curse. Although he has been saved, it would seem that he is not the only survivor to arrive upon this life boat. A zebra, an orangoutang, a hyena, and a tiger, have just become Pi's new guest in the large ocean abyss.
