Life of Pi, seems to be a relatively new book that has gained much popularity over past couple of months. To be honest, I am not a big fan of reading. So when I heard that my teacher was making us read a book, for our SAT Verbal class, I took hold of the opportunity to test this book out for myself. The fact that many of my friends told me that the movie was excellent, made me want to read it even more. As they always say, "The book is always better than the movie."From reading the first few pages of my book, I can infer that it does not seem to be bad at all. It seems like this is one of the few books, that I am going to enjoy reading. In the first 5 chapters (20 pages), the narrator describes his early life in India, and gives the reader a vivid image of his childhood growing with his father owning a zoo. So far nothing has quit happened yet, we are just learning about the narrators past.
will you watch the movie after reading the book?
